She, yes she, has been very sick the past few days. I took her to the vet on Monday, the same vet my neighbor took her to 3 weeks ago. Nora says the vet never checked her gender, but just took the word of the people that gave her to Nora. When I asked the vet if she was sure Winnie was a male, without even checking she said, Oh yeah. This makes me skeptical of a vet that doesnt even look. Ive had a boy cat before, and even after neutering, he had a penis, for goodness sake! So, Nora, her b.f. and I all agree that she is a she. Gender issues aside, Winnie seems to be suffering from kidney failure. She has barely eaten or drank since early Monday morning. I was so happy that this afternoon she finally ate some wet cat food, high in water content, and cooked white rice. Im still having problems getting her to drink, but we are working on that. Please say some prayers that Winnie pulls through this. Thank you!
