Rant! My husband has been in this industry since 2005, after a company closing he took a truck driving job in 2010 (since he has had his CDL since 04) after 4 years of being in a truck and the toll it took on his body he went back into tower work with Ingenious out of Belmont NC. After 3 weeks of working, him along with the other employees were told the company was closing. No one got paid anything. He is still owed around $3000 including per diem. That was March. In April he took another job with a different company that I wont call out just yet because he still works there. But so far pay day has been changed without notice twice. They borrowed our jeep for another guy to use to go out of state for 3 days to go.to a site. We finally got.our jeep back after 3 weeks of being lied to. We wrre ttold its coming Friday. then Friday would come and no jeep and no call to say it wasnt coming. Then they get mad because we demand they bring it back or I was calling the law. They dont pay per diem they put 8-10 guys in one house with mattresses on the floor and no furniture. They only have one climber on a site, no work trucks. The PM [owners son] smokes a blunt before starting his job every morning. Then my husbands pay was reduced! I had another baby in July and we are so far in debt now its ridiculous. I lost my job in March after my employer suddenly passed away. And.no one would hire a 5 month pregnant woman..and I am not cleared by the dr yet to go back to work. All I want to know is how can any company screw employees or treat them like trash and not have an once of remorse! End rant...sorry!
