Sheriff signs off on current year County AB 109 Realignment plan: Sheriff Stan Sniff signed off for the Riverside County Sheriffs Dept on this years Public Safety Realignment & Post-Release Community Supervision Implementation Plan for this current fiscal year earlier this week, immediately following our scheduled Community Corrections Partnership Executive Committee Meeting in Riverside. That Executive Committee, set forth by law, consists of the Probation Chief, Sheriff, DA, Mental Health, Public Defender, Courts and our Police Chiefs, and jointly oversees AB 109 Realignment Implementation throughout Riverside Countys criminal justice system. That annual official document, once signed off by the committee members, will then be forwarded to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors for their approval before the end of the calendar year. Many complex programs, impacting every one of our communities, are synchronized through this crucial plan.
