Shinji Kagawa admits he must improve in order to secure Manchester United future Shinji Kagawa has admitted he is facing a major battle to survive at Manchester United. Kagawa was hauled off by manager David Moyes at half-time during Saturday’s shock 2-1 defeat at home to West Brom. It was his first Premier League start of the season and confirmed the suspicion that Moyes has little faith in the Japan midfielder. A £17million buy from Borussia Dortmund last year, Kagawa said: “I thought that I would have been able to find some space to create the chances in the second half. “In that sense, I was disappointed to have been substituted. “Sure, I wasn’t involved that much, I didn’t touch the ball enough, but I was trying to be patient so I didn’t feel that bad. However, I have to take this like some kind of message from the manager. “I need to improve or I can’t survive at this club. I have to take this in a positive way and try to do my best.” Kagawa, twice a Bundesliga winner with Dortmund, has made just three starts this term despite United having failed to score in open play since the 4-1 first-day win over Swansea ( latest News, Sport & Celeb gossip at Mirror.co.uk )
