Its with a sad, heavy heart that I have to share the results of Wikis vet appointment. At almost 15 he his body has decided its time. Although I havent seen the blood work results Im certain its kidney failure and he hasnt much time. We took him to Avon Lake Animal Clinic, a place Ive known of for many years.....when they were a tiny 6 room building, not the complex they are now. I took a cat there many years ago to be declawed (dont judge me, I didnt know any better then). Weeks later my cat was in so much pain he could hardly walk. Turns out they had put cloth stitches in but had informed me they had used dissolvable, this was even in the paperwork!! Luckily Dr. Bog at The cat clinic fixed him all up, once they were out Bandit was 100%!! So I was leery about taking Wiki there, but this is where Brian had taken him in the past. So, we went last night. Although I would pay anything for my pets health and well being there are limits, when a business gets to big for their britches they lose sight of who they are and why they are there. I really thought the excessive cost of the blood work and office visit (not to mention fluids that Im certain did nothing for him) were enough but, after playing phone tag half the day then having to get angry on the phone the doctor finally got back to Brian with the results, not a good prognosis. But, rest assured she made sure to inform Brian that a 3 day (certainly very expensive) stay would help but only delay the inevitable. Shame on you Avon Lake Animal Clinic for putting the almighty dollar in front of a grieving fur parent. No, I do not want to pay you a ton of money to prolong my cats suffering you insensitive bastards.
