The Peggy and Jane was wrecked 172 yrs ago in 1843. off Wicklow Head. She was carrying a cargo of coal. The Le Nouveau Destin was a brig and was wrecked off Wicklow Head 176 yrs ago in 1839. The coastguard rescued the crew. Coastguard was awarded the silver medal for the rescue.
