Shopping or thanksgiving week at Walmart in Brainerd. They were completely out of turkey, every brand. Finished the buying grocery list, and headed to food lion in east ridge. Found they have a great deal! Buy one off brand turkey for $.59 per lb. a 14 lb bird was only $8! Got to register and the clerk says, $23.50. I was like, the tag says $8.04. She claimed you have to spend $25 to qualify. I got out of line and picked up some coffee. Went to short line with new clerk, that will be $43.07 again I explained that it was on sale and I had now spent more than $25. She explained that you have to spend $25 before the bird is scanned. I was $5 and change short. Problem was I had just left Walmart and bought $230 worth of groceries. I didnt need anything else! So I grabbed $6 worth of apples (which is surprisingly a lot of apples). Then finally checked out with my $8 turkey, only spending a total of $35...thats right a full $12 more than the turkey at full price lol Im not sure I got a good deal at all! 😕
