Should Christians Be Environmentalists? This is the title of my new series of blog articles beginning on September 20th. It’s based on my book of the same name, published in 2012 by Kregel Publications. This new series (and the book) is largely apologetic in nature. I defend the biblical teaching that God gave the human race the responsibility to be His stewards or caretakers in creation—and what this means. I also refute the claim that non-Christian religions and secular environmentalists are better equipped than Christianity to formulate environmental ethics and guidelines for ecological stewardship. I won’t cover my entire book in this series of articles and will leave out large portions of several chapters, as well as probably 90 percent of the quotes and references from Bible scholars who have studied this issue. So, if you want the rest of the story”—including my personal journey from an active non-Christian environmentalist to an enthusiastic Christian environmentalist—you will need to purchase the book itself. It’s available in both paperback and Kindle. I look forward to your thoughtful comments on this new series. In the meantime, I will leave posted on my blogsite the 29 articles I previous wrote titled Will Our Pets (and Other Animals) Greet Us in Heaven?” for a few more months or until I begin to look for a publisher (who may request the blogs to be deleted). This new book is provisionally titled Will Dogs Chase Cats in Heaven; People, Pets, and Wild Animals in the Hereafter. A lot of the data in this book was not included in the blog articles themselves, so if you want the “rest of the story” you’ll need to read the book when it’s released. I’ll post notices at that time. You can read all my blog articles at danstory67.blogspot/ danstory.net danstory67.blogspot/
