Should Police Interrogations be Recorded in all Felonies? In - TopicsExpress

Should Police Interrogations be Recorded in all Felonies? In Illinois, the rule is that interrogations in all murder cases have to be recorded. That rule is slowly being expanded to cover other serious felonies. illinoiscaselaw/police-interrogation-in-murder-case/ The rule change came about as part of the reform, after we learned Illinois was sentencing innocent people to death. But I think data storage fees, equipment expense, and ease of use have all dramatically changed for the better. Is it time we just require recorded interrogation any time the State wants to imprison a person? Does the charge really matter? Let me know what you think. illinoiscaselaw/police-interrogation-in-murder-case/
