Should be watched! Mr. Cain hit the nail on the head! Excessive force is NOT a race issue. As respect for one another should NOT be a Race issue either. It just so happened that those two issues involved black Americans. Had these two gentlemen been from another ethnic background, but acted in exactly the same manner, and had the same health issues, I believe the results would have been exactly the same. There are FABULOUS Police officers out there, trying to do the best they can in a world of disrespect for the office they hold on all levels and within all ethnicities. On the other hand, there ARE a FEW the hold the badge that should not. Had they stopped, and followed police requests, the outcome would have probably been completely different. The ONLY race that matters is the HUMAN RACE! We MUST look beyond the Color of skin, accents, Ethnic backgrounds. Do NOT look for excuses, do NOT look for concessions, Search for the equality for ALL. There is a quote that I saw on TV over 40 years ago that has stuck with me to this day. Sgt. Joe Friday on Dragnet Yes a Television show said on one episode that is SO very true. Police officers are suppose to be above it all, perfect all the time, BUT the Police Departments have to recruit their officers from the Human Race. Probably not word for word, but the meaning gets through. Even if you do NOT respect the person, you MUST respect the position and the Badge. Weed out the Bad Ones, but you should NEVER judge with a Blanket opinion. GOD Bless America! I pray we can get our Shit back together. Because like it or not, we are ALL in this together, and it is NOT a dress rehearsal. We only get ONE chance in this Beautiful Life, make it a good one! OK, the rant is over For Now ;) Love Yall!
