Should detoxing be a regular part of our lifestyles? When you - TopicsExpress

Should detoxing be a regular part of our lifestyles? When you consider how many toxins you may encounter in your day-to-day life, through your food, household and beauty products, air and water pollution, and more, it would be wise to integrate a mobilization and elimination strategy to your lifestyle. A detox basically is referring to cleansing the liver. Many people refer to a cleanse as a detox. However, a mobilization and elimination strategy is a full body cleanse and I believe this should be a regular part of your healthy lifestyle! Toxins tend to cling on to fat cells- so it is important to include an exercise program in this detox plan. Losing weight allows you to gradually move toxic chemicals out from the fat to the blood- and then you can excrete that through the GI Tract and Skin- which are the two biggest surface areas of our bodies. Mobilization/Elimination Plan: At least twice a week (or more frequently if youre engaged in a weight loss program to shed a lot of weight) take about 100 mg of Niacin (aka Vitamin B3)- You can gradually increase dosage if you would like up to 1000 mg. After 20 minutes, exercise for at least 20 minutes to break a sweat and stimulate circulation. Follow up with 30 to 60 minutes in a hot sauna, to really sweat out all the impurities. (You could also take a really hot bath- then rinse off with a shower because chemicals and toxins will excrete through the skin) For added elimination- Finish off by taking either five activated charcoal tablets, or some zeolite clay, which will bind with toxins, allowing them to be eliminated through your GI tract. You may feel flushed (really hot) for about 30 minutes after taking the Niacin, but that is because it is working within the body- if you feel uncomfortable you can take a cool shower until the flush settles down. Exercise is key, in order to eliminate the toxins through your skin, otherwise, they’ll just end up being reabsorbed by your body. Using a sauna will also allow for excretion through your pores. As a side note, keep in mind that when you sweat, you lose a lot of minerals and even vitamins, so make sure you replenish with electrolytes and potassium. Coconut water is an excellent rehydrator. It’s a powerhouse of natural electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, enzymes, antioxidants and phytonutrients, and is low in sugar *NOTE: Do not take charcoal in combination with medications or supplements, as these will also be bound up and eliminated. Try to take charcoal in between meals or at least 2 hours before or after taking any type of medication/supplement. * Source: articles.mercola/sites/articles/archive/2014/05/04/detoxification-program.aspx This doctor (Dr. Yu) breaks down this process and explains why it works: Check it out: https://youtube/watch?v=47UyvsCQ-mk ~To good health my friends!~
