From the garden of the Gods to Pikes peak ... Reservoir lakes, first snows, amazing views and the summit ! Really breathtaking experience lol ! 43% less oxygen at the top, 26°F were I started the day at 66 ... A special thought to my friend and counterpart Seb Loeb, 9 times World Rally Champion and who came to defy in 2013 the Race to the Clouds as called and made a cracker, clocking 8mn 13s for the tortuous 20kms of this worldly famous race. And for his first time here, made an all time record beating the old one by 1mn and a half ! Its an average speed of over 90miles per hour ?!! Anyone who would know the place can appreciate ... for Doug and myself, we sticked to 60ml/hour and it was scary enough !!! Congrats Seb, no one can match you !
