Showers popping up across the area this morning and these will continue through the afternoon. We will be seeing those turn into thunderstorms as the day goes on and produce locally heavy downpours. There is a slight threat some could be on the severe side as well with strong wind gusts. They will move to the north quickly which will limit the flash flooding threat. However a Flash Flood Watch is still in effect through tomorrow evening, and I expect more widespread rain to move back over the area tomorrow as the low to our north drifts west.
