Shut it down! Yep, I say shut down the Government if this is the best we can do. Republicans ( yes, its this time it solely Republicans) tried to slip a measure into the spending bill at the last minute that allows banks to trade derivatives using FDIC backed deposits. In other words, use the money in your savings, checking, and IRA accounts to trade on the market and if they lose it, no problem its backed by the tax payer. You again. The measure was written by lobbyist for Citibank and if it sounds familiar to anyone, thats because ITS THE EXACT SAME THING THAT JUST CRASHED THE ECONOMY and threw us into the biggest recession since the Great Depression. Same f*cking thing. And its one of the main reasons that the FDIC was created in the first place after they did the same thing that crashed the economy in 1929. How many times do we want to keep repeating the same catastrophe? Wasnt the last one hard enough? Where are we going to get the bailout money from this time? Were still paying for the last time! It certainly makes me wonder why the hell people in America keep voting for people that are constantly chomping at the bit to sell you out and let their friends steal your money. (I know, its the lazy welfare people who are stealing your tax dollars) Further bullpuckey tucked into the bill is a measure that allows wealthy political donors to give even more,10xs more, than before. (Hmn, what a coincidence). They also want to block nutritional requirements for school lunches. Stop D.C. from legalizing Marijuana even though it passed with 70% support. Block clean water rules in some agricultural areas ( nice, GMO run off in our water), and stop the IRS from targeting certain groups...even though it was proven that this is not happening, and its already illegal.
