Shy, sweet little Momma Mias HAPPY TAIL!! Well, overall it is going really good!! I have had to take her back to the vet a couple times now because she had been scratching like crazy! She doesn’t have fleas and I’ve had her on Sentinnel Heartworm/Flea prevention since she came home- Her skin was very flaky but I’ve been giving her a fish oil supplement every day with her Ideal Balance Breakfast and the dead skin has pretty much all come off now and she is shiny as ever! But, something is still going on with the scratching, Dr. Phelps and I aren’t sure if it’s just seasonal allergies yet or not as we have only had her for 2 months now and are still working through it- But, we’ve had her on some pills for it (she’ll go off them in November) and we’ll see at that time if she’s still scratching or not- So, we’ve had some added expense with all of that process- But, she has settled in very nicely in the house, she gets along great with all of us including our cat Mootie who she keeps giving kisses to - We have been rotating where she sleeps (sometimes with my Husband and I and sometimes with our Daughter) I walk her every single day around the trails (about an hour walk) and she LOVES it!! I have even had her go for runs with me, she gets so excited when I put my workout clothes on as she knows we’re getting ready to go soon- She jumps around like a little Frisbee dog, it’s pretty cute!! She is a bit of a Squirrel and Deer Hunter and we’ve been working through that, But you should see how good she walks on a leash now! She has made great progress!! She travels well in the car and we take her “bye bye” with us as much as we can- We haven’t had any problems with her loose in the house- It was cute when she first came home with us, we’d come home from work and our shoes would be taken out of our closets and we’d find them down in the living room, or Caitlin’s room (she didn’t destroy them) she would just move them around the house- She has since stopped that and has learned to just settle down and rest while we’re gone at work and School- We bought her a bed and toys and she’s not really much for playing with those, maybe over time I don’t know- But her favorite thing to do is go for our walks and then snuggle up when we get back in the evening on the couch! We pop the fireplace on and she just snuggles up J Sorry to have sent you a novel back, but I wanted to really update you and not just a one word answer- If she was my dog I adopted out, I would hope someone would let me know all the info too!! I want to bring her up to one of your future adoptions to show you all how great she looks and how great she’s doing, but I am waiting as I don’t want her to think I’m turning her back in so I wanted some time to go by first-Thanks Again for letting us have our little “MeMe Dog” (Caitlin nicknamed her this and it’s kind of what we call her- Although “Mia” is her name on all of our paperwork) pic #1 is of her relaxing on the couch by the fire; pic #2 is of her being her silly self, and rolling upside down (which she does a lot and its adorable!!) and the 3rd one was the day after we got her and had just had her groomed up
