Sigh. Here are just a few snippets of the wonderful pieces of wisdom being shared on social media. When I expressed my horror at some of the dangerous medical advice I had read (this is just the tip of the iceberg) the author has challenged me to advise her (with references) on where she might be incorrect .... But when the page is littered with so much nonsense in terms of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, clinical medicine and treatment, where do you start? There is no point. Most detractors have been banned and blocked, or mocked as drug company stooges just for questioning the science. This makes me a sad panda. To those playing along at home: Please make sure you ask the right people for advice. Dont ask your plumber how to fix your car. Dont ask your electrician how to do your tax. And PLEASE dont ask social media gurus with vague qualifications for personal medical advice. Have a consultation with an appropriately qualified health professional who can assess you, take a proper history and tailor your treatment specifically for you. Because thats what theyve been trained for.
