Sigh. I just had an incredibly irksome occurrence. Two gentlemen from Sharp Entertainment were using an expired permit to film with a crane in front of my garage- almost damaging the roof of my car. They never knocked on my door to advise me of their activities- if they had I would have moved my car. I called Film LA (I deal with these folks weekly on business) after the guy said F*ck you B*tch to me after I pointed out his permit was for 8/14 and a different location. I was concerned they had no insurance. I told him that I work in the industry and that I understood the need to steal shots- but that you shouldnt do so with a crane above someone elses personal property. He became nastier. The minute I had Film LA ready on the phone and it was clear I wasnt accepting his BS- they packed up and ran. My plea to co-workers is this: Be smart about what shots you should and shouldnt steal. And when doing so- dont be nasty and belligerent. You make us ALL look bad. And we are all suffering from run away production. Just think before you do stupid crap like this.
