(Sigh)......Sitting here at nikolas school waiting for him to get out and I am thinking about my eye appt last Thu. With the new meds I am on for my MS the Dr said I dont have any further damage to my eyes, but once again I hear those words I cringe when I hear them..... that the nerve damage to both outsides of each eye is permanent and cannot be fixed. Yes I can still see and drive and for that I am thankful, but just hearing that my eyes r permanently damaged and that I will never see any better than I do now it hurts to hear. I havent known what it is like to see clearly for a few yrs. One time earlier this yr I woke up and looked around and to my astonishment I could see almost totally clear!!! I was sooo happy and amazed!! I went outside and looked at the trees and felt the bark on them. But that was shortlived. 2 days later my vision went back to what it had been. I was really sad. Well, I should look on the bright side. I can see and drive and do things and there r many ppl with MS who cant do that. I hope I continue to stay stable like I am now.
