Signs of #drifting: 1. Diminishing desire to study Gods word (theres no greater source of wisdom) 2. Diminishing desire to pray (our only means of communicating with God) Even Jesus prayed. Not talking to God is a result of not listening to God. 3. Diminishing desire to be with Gods people (failing to attend worship services is a primary concern) Such fellowship extends beyond worship services -- even on a daily basis. (1 Cor 15:33) 4. Diminishing desire to share the Gospel (We should want to share our gift -- tell the world about Jesus) If youre drifting, youre probably not living a life that shows you as different from the world. 5. An increasing thrill for the things of the world. (More satisfaction with worldly pursuits than with things spiritual) Do we show the same excitement when a sinner repents as we do with the big game? 2 Timothy 3:2-5 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self- control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
