Siliguri Municipal Corporation Election Mathematics (Ward No: 24) In the previous municipal election Sri Alak Bhakta of AITC (supported by INC) defeated his nearest rival Sri Pranab Das of CPI(M) by a margin of 636 votes... AITC got 53.60% votes, whereas CPI(M) secured 42.41%. Only 2.04% people cast their vote in favour of BJP... In 2014 Lok Sabha election, AITC candidate Baichung Bhutia was ahead of his nearest rival Saman Thapa by a margin of 1,351 votes... Percentage share was like this : AITC=46.27%, CPI(M)=26.56%, BJP=17.84%, INC=5.47%.
