Sin Against God! Micah 7:1-2 Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit. 2The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net. The prophet says He’s been left behind! He is as the grapegleanings (left behind)! He desired to be the firstripe! Why has this happened? Micah 7:7-9 Therefore I will look unto Yahveh; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. 8Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Yahveh shall be a light unto me. 9I will bear the indignation of Yahvey, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness. So then how do you sin against God? Matthew 12:31-32 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. What is Jesus talking about? II Timothy 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. You must read the previous statement to understand what Paul is going on to instruct. II Timothy 2:19-26 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (iniquity is habitual sin things I do over and over) 20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. (There are all types of Christians, in different stages of growth, some to honor and some to dishonor by how they are judging themselves and walking in obedience to Christ. Yet they are all still Christians, good or bad.) Paul continues to instruct: 22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. So a Christian still cleaning up his or her act is not what Paul is describing when he says they have a form of godliness, but deny the power there of from such turn away. Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is denying the power of the Holy Ghost. The sin against God is denying the power, not still walking in iniquity. Why then in Micah was the person left behind?? What was this sin against God?? Why must he suffer the indignation (anger)? Denying the power there of. Jesus said the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven in this world or in the world to come. Holy Ghost 4151 { pnyoo’-mah} 4) of God 4a) God’s power and agency distinguishable in thought from his essence in itself considered 4a1) manifest in the course of affairs 4a2) by its influence upon the souls productive in the theocratic body (the church) of all the higher spiritual gifts and blessings 4a3) the third person of the trinity, the God the Holy Spirit So, denying the power of God deals directly with denying the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the gifts. The power and ministry of the Spirit to seal and protect you until the day of salvation, all the spiritual gifts described in: I Corinthians 12:9-11 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. These are the power of God through the Holy Ghost. Your sin and iniquity has been forgiven but not denying the Spirit. Be in ignorance no more, seek the Holy Ghost and His gifts in faith and understanding. Halle lu YAH!
