Since I did not have contacts of Gujarat Lokayukta, I sent this - TopicsExpress

Since I did not have contacts of Gujarat Lokayukta, I sent this information after Mr. Much was appointed Gujarat Lokayukta last year. As of last week when I last followed up, this matter is still sitting with Principal Secretary and has not even moved outside his office. I wanted this matter to be reviewed by Gujarat Lokayukta. GOVGJ/E/2013/01170 What is the business rational behind Statue of Unity? How Rs. 2500 Cr number for Statue has been derived? Does Gujarat have other pressing issues that are important to Public in General where this fund could be better utilized? Which IAS Officer reviewed the file and authorized it? What is the ROI expected and when is state going to recover this money, interest and staff costs? i.e After how many years will this project break even? State Ministers and Officers have been asked to move to various states for this. Is there time being charged back to this project? Does the time include their daily wage, travel cost, lodging cost and any other perks when traveling? Which all officers from lowest to highest level has been asked to work on this project including their office staff? Also include operating costs of stationary, servers, utilities, PR, advertising that consumed. Please prepare a detailed report with daily burn rate for this project. Id like to take a close look at it and put it to Lokayukta for misuse of funds. There must be 1 IAS officer - at least principal secretary who has to own responsibility for all this.
