Since I posted my last status. There has been an issue about me calling tomorrow Australia day. For me its my nieces birthday and holiday. For others its INVASION day and AUSTRALIA day. Yeah I know what happened... But that was out of my control. Just like the Myall Creek Massacre. Where my great grandfather lost his father, Mother and family. That is MY HISTORY.. And the start of change here in Australia. For the very first time on my country the men who were involved in the massacre. Where trialed and hung for killing Aborigines. (My Family and GOMEROI ancestors). My grandfather was the only Aboriginal aloud into town to get supplies and food for his family and people (tribe). Because he was given a dog tag. My beautiful Uncles and Aunts couldnt enter the hospital to see their Dad (my pop) before he died. They stood outside in the rain.. because of the Australian government rules. I have a lot to be upset about. Because of what my mum and her family went through back in those days. But thats MY HISTORY. Not the PRESENCE. Growing up my Mum and Dad raised me to be treat everyone as EQUALS and make a positive difference. I was raised to make a difference and change the future by drawing from my ancestors to strengthen the My future history to show Australians we are equal and we are one. No matter what color your skin. Treat others the way I want to be treated. My passport says Im an Australian Citizen and I reside in Australia.. In the same town and on the same COUNTRY my great grandfather, grandfather and father and Mother were raised on. Where I have spiritual connections. (IM LIVING BACK ON MY COUNTRY) Im a very proud ABORIGINAL MAN AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL MAN And I was taught by my Ancestors to make a difference. And I will. Not by becoming an Activist. But by becoming a leader and making a positive change in this country.
