This one is for everyone that cares about the environment, growing food, Permaculture, or simple a great cause to help, people that want to MAKE A DIFFERENCE for a better world This is a crowd funding project that I am helping to organize, this guys - Organic Matters Foundation - have been doing a great job in helping the people of the Pacific Islands to become sustainable in growing food and transition from chemical to organic agriculture. These islands are badly suffering with climate change and the degradation of the little soil they have.Several communities in Fiji, Samoa, Cook Islands and Tonga have already done the Soil School Program and are now regenerating their soils and producing an abundance of organic food. Unfortunately there are 3 communities - Niue, Mauke and Mitiaro - that cannot get funding through the normal aid programs, they are too small and too remote, the foundation has been trying for 2 years without success. Their ONLY hope is this crowd funding project and the help of people like us - people that care, people that want to make a difference, people that want to see a better world! Please help these communities to learn about composting, chicken tractors, biofertiliser and the whole lot of amazing sustainable strategies the Soil School can offer. This program is not like other aid programs that only benefit the communities while they are there. The Soil School is there only for the short run to then create INDEPENDENCE, once they learn the farmers then become multipliers teaching their friends and neighbors.
