Since I wrote The True Beauty of Romans 9, I have learned a lot about the Bible, Old and New Testament alike. Ive sharpened up my reading of the Apostle Paul, and read Romans 9-11 again and again and again. In the midst of a sleepness night, I have rewritten and (hopefully!) improved my original study of Romans 9. Ive extended it to cover 10:1-4. Most significantly, Ive placed a great deal of emphasis on the image of the footrace. Over the summer, I became convinced that the footrace image is the key to unlocking the mystery of Romans 9-11. Furthermore, Ive discussed in more depth Pauls strategy and method in using the Old Testament, and included material on subtler allusions.
