Since September, 2012, Ive been tracking where I purchase my books (yeah, Im that kind of nerd). In the two and a quarter years, I have purchased books from 80 different places - Amazon NOT being one of them. The reason this is noted is because with a special introductory subscription to The New Yorker Magazine, theyre giving me a $10 Amazon online gift card. Yeah, Ill spend it - its their money, not mine. I just hate now having to add Amazon as a line on the spreadsheet, breaking the long streak of avoiding them. At least they will only reflect a fraction of a percentage point of purchases.
