Since becoming aware of the crisis in Uganda 5 years ago, Ive read countless books, blogs and statistics of the history of the country, its people, the global orphan crisis and the call and responsibility of the church, the body of Jesus, to rise up and provide homes and love. During that time I changed my college major, my life ambitions and dreams in order to have the opportunity to love and teach both children in America and across the globe. I know the statistics of Uganda, its children and the orphans around the world. Id say they break my heart, but its far more than that. I cant imagine what will happen when I get to meet those precious children of Uganda. After almost 5 years of waiting...I soon will know.. I thought my life was changed by the simple knowledge of knowing and learning about the country but I dont believe that will even compare to meeting and loving them. Im certain my outlook on life will be radically changed and I would have it no other way. Good bye America! Im off to Africa!
