Since coming to SFA, one of my favorite aspects about the Creative Writing department has been the opportunity to meet tremendous writers that have visited to read and share their own work. So far, Ive had the great fortune to hear from and meet Nick Lantz, Peter Kline, Kim Addonizio and Kyle Minor. To take the time from their lives to come and discuss their approach with those of us whore interested in hearing and learning from them is so invaluable and appreciated. More than anything, theres a tremendously exciting energy in hearing from writers who have experience and have been out there doing the work...and its not necessarily just the most successful or well known but individuals who stand as a testament to staying true to their creative intentions and its incredibly inspiring. This is an interview with Bret Easton Ellis, one of my favorite authors. I have no idea how Id even be able to act if the day ever came where I met him.
