Since i have turned 60, i have been inundated with companies trying to sell me solar panels,conservatories, cavity wall, double glazing, holidays , investments, special insurance terms, even funeral plans........ oh my goodness i dont intend to be going anywhere just yet......... today i tried to phone the pension people, i was hanging on the phone for over a hour, at a 0345 number, and although i am a pensioner and receive a pension I will pay tax on it as i have had to keep working , no way can i live on £114 a week!!!!!!!! , if i didint have an income can you imagine a pensioner hanging on the phone for that time, unable to pay the bill, and still didnt get an answer!!!!!! This country is absolutely disgraceful how it treats its elderly people, who worked since they left school, everyone trying to rip them off on a weak moment, and no one wanting to help them ..... what a world we live in ...
