Since its now official and I was able to meet with the players right after school today (one of the hardest things Ive ever had to do), I want to thank the Shelby community for my two years that I was able to contribute to the football program and work with numerous quality kids. I have decided to take the offensive coordinator / RBs job at Forest Hills Northern HS in Grand Rapids, but will forever be grateful to the kids, parents, and community at Shelby who helped make my time there both successful, and memorable. Ill forever wonder if there is a place that gives me the same feeling that I get when I see my family in the stands, or a place that allows me to hug my grandpa on the sidelines before every game, or if there is a restaurant in Michigan that gives a rousing ovation like the Brown Bear does after a staff member walks in after a playoff win...but when an opportunity like FHN comes knocking, its almost impossible to say no. Especially when you have to leave a place and community that is as special as Shelby is to me. Thanks for allowing me to be a small part of your memories over these past two years!
