Since many of you have been wondering “What’s up with Lisa?’ I thought that I would post an explanation as to why she was not in this week. On Monday Lisa took her husband Roger to the hospital as he was experiencing some chest pain. The chest pain was from pneumonia, however, during testing they found his white blood cell count low. This, as it turns out, is due to leukemia. As bad as this sounds we need to remember that now days leukemia is very treatable and treatment has a very, very high success rate. Lisa will be returning to work Saturday and will be working, more or less, as usual while Roger is in the hospital receiving treatment. The course of treatment will take approximately six weeks and may require Lisa to adjust her schedule with us here and there, which is not a problem and will not effect your classes. Please keep Roger, Lisa and their family in your thoughts and prayers. They are all a very important part of OUR family.
