Since moving into our new house, Red Bird I has been having to sip her amperes via 120V @ 8A. Ive been reluctant to give her 12A since turning on some lights caused the breaker to trip. Anyhow, to make a really long story short, we need extensive rewiring at our house. We planned on hiring an electrician to install our Schneider EVlink 30A charger on a dedicated meter (to take advantage of time of day rates). Plus I wanted a couple dedicated computer circuits. This would need a service panel upgrade. Unfortunately before we even got to that point, we found some nefarious DIY wiring, done by the previous owner. What should have been a half day job, maybe a full day, is now a 3-4 day expensive project. Heres a sampling of why Red Bird has had to sip, instead of slurp, her amperes. (YES, we did get a home inspection. Unfortunately what you see here was concealed.)
