Since moving to Cornwall 7 years back I have not really bothered with Nothos. This is due to my mains and rainwater having a p.h of 7, whereas my previous Bristol tapwater had a p.h of 7.8 - 8.0. In this treated mains water I did fairly well with Nothos A fellow BKA member kindly gave me some guentheri blue eggs that I hatched a few days back. I will raise these and watch to see if the anticipated velvet rears its head in my water conditions. If alls well I just might be tempted to seek out some eggs of an old favourite, Kayuni state farm.
