Since moving to TN I have found myself spending MORE time in the car.... giving me MORE time to reflect. TODAY officially marks 2 months since we rolled into this town and Ill be the first to say...LIFE HAS NOT BEEN KIND TO THE RUSH FAMILY....certainly weve met and made some GREAT NEW friends (THANKS GOODNESS FOR THEM) but I think THIS family has endured about as much as we can handle. Pulled up to a cute house infested with wasps and little wasp houses all over. It was pouring the first night at the house.... managed to get the mattresses off the truck and made camp in the living room. Saw lightening I hadnt seen in years...SCARY SHIT. The next day we unloaded the truck (James and I by ourselves) and was getting ready to return it when somehow my husband managed to get that HUGE sucker STUCK frame high in our backyard. Had to have someone tow it out..... first extra expense. Went to walmart, loaded up our carts with all the moving essentials....toilet brushes and cleaners, paper towels, broom...shit like that....and food. Cards were declined (apparently wed used them too much...whatever..... an embarrassment). Sage got sick one night...started puking (we now have carpet...wasnt pretty) It was only appropriate that the WHOLE family got sick with sinus infections next. Took a drive to Burlington Coat Factory and let the kids go crazy picking out new school clothes.....that happened on a Sunday...so on Monday when I went to register them for school.... I was told they wear uniforms....plus they were just super rude....I remember leaving in tears. We managed to find three collared shirts for each kid....it was so fun alternating these three colors for the final weeks of the school year. We go to Nashville for the day.... broke my van window while backing into a parking garage. Had it fixed then the upper brake light fell off....had to get that fixed again. Bogger Anne quit eating and is suffering from kidney disease...its been an emotional roller-coaster for me. The van continues to break.... like last week it was the brakes.... this week its the hubs. Bogger has an infected cyst...another appt at the vet. The kids have been IDK ....kids. they have broken the playstation, 2 ipods, fat lips and bloody noses, loose retainers....had to find a dentist. Rahlee jumped off the deck and hit her head, Sage threw a wooded post in the garbage that had a nail in it...needless to say...Gabe got hit in the back of the head with a rusty nail. TICKS.....and bugs are unbelievable. Thank goodness for the stripper!!! On my business aspect.... it was rough on me when I lost the running for Annual Award. I had a huge drop in sales...had a hard time getting motivated. Sales tax is OUTRAGEOUS out here...9.25% and there isnt even an ocean....CRAZY! Its just been one thing after another and to think that its ONLY been 2 months TODAY. Fingers crossed we catch a break SOON...Holy cow.
