Since the school year began, we have been busy with several projects aimed to help students and their schools. One of the projects closest to our heart is the work being done at a special school in Jerusalem. This is a special school for about 80 children in 1st-6th grades who are suffering from assorted learning disabilities and need special, individual care and sensitive educational assistance. The school is establishing a new library with a therapeutic-emotional orientation. Its goal is to give emotional and academic/linguistic answers to students. Vision for Israel gave a generous contribution to the school toward renewing the library and purchasing books and learning aids for the students, including a large selection of belles-lettres (beautiful literature), informational books, encyclopedias, dictionaries and periodicals. In addition, the contribution helped purchase audio tapes and teaching aids in science, math and geography. The school held a special ceremony to dedicate the new library, and we were happy to see how our donation helps with educating and caring for the children. A whole new world is opening up to them, thanks to the books. We wish the children and the school much success in the new year and are certain that our productive cooperation with them will continue and will help even more children.
