Since today is Flashback Thursday. I thought I would Flashback a little Continuity today. Reminder: Neal is at Flying Colors tomorrow at 4:00 to 7:00. They have some great packages that they are offering for the signing.flyingcolorscomics/ The first photo I am posting today is the very first Continuity. This is Continuity 48th Street after Neal took over the whole floor since this is the front room of that studio. The picture of Neal is odd because everyone remembers all the desks facing out the window. Neals back is to the window, which does seem weird. My sense is this photo was taken just as he took over the space and we hadnt painted yet. In the picture with Larry Hama and Ralph Reese the desks are facing the right way. The walls are orange by now and the corkboard front walls are up. (Favorite game at Continuity was throwing pushpins into the corkboard like darts. Many people at Continuity at the time are very good at this. I could never get how to throw them. They would just bounce off.) Larry and Ralph were one of the very first assistants that Neal had. Jack Abel rented a middle room of the studio and worked with other inking assistants in that room. This studio was the beginning for a lot of people. More to come later.
