Since when such split mindset invaded my heart but I was too reluctant to face and acknowledge it? Wanting desperately to retain a sense of spontaneity and adventure, but feeling it become increasingly incompatible with the life I live and the kind of goals I have for the future. It almost feels like mourning a person, because I know there is at least some version of myself that is no longer really alive. Until this morning, when I stepped on the shattered leaves and lost myself in the cold winter air - familiar smell but a different state of mind. Foe those who already had their 25th bday, wish you another happy Halloween party night, even tho u feel too old for going wild and crazy:)
