Sinning doesn’t happen in the spirit; it happens in the flesh. So, if you crucify your flesh daily, instead of just on Sunday, you’re going to be more successful at avoiding sin. There is always going to be tug of war going on between your spirit and your flesh. Your fleshly body pulls on you to do whatever it wants to do and your spirit says, ‘No, this is the best way. This is what the Lord says.’ So, you have a choice at that moment. The only time you can really sin is if you are in the flesh––if you’ve decided to do things your own way instead of His way.
