Sins We will all commit sins and none of us are free from it. - TopicsExpress

Sins We will all commit sins and none of us are free from it. What differentiates a strong believer from a weak one is how they react to the sin. The strong believer will repent and seek Allahs forgiveness immediately. Where as the week believer will delay in repenting to Allah, or perhaps they may not do so at all. Ibn Al-Qayyim has a powerful statement: Sins need to be eradicated through the internal fire of regret in this life or the fire of hell in the hereafter. I contemplated this for some time and I realized one can weep over their sins in this life and turn back to Allah, or they can wait till the day of judgment where the weeping will be multiplied three fold: 1- Once for the sin they committed. 2- For not repenting in this life. 3- Due to the anxiety of what possibly awaits them. Let us repent for our sins today, and seek his forgiveness, as these are from the best of ways to attain Allahs mercy and pardon in this life and the next. O Allah forgive us for our sins and shortcomings and grant us a tawbah nasoohah at our deaths. Ameen.
