Sinus infection day 5: Yesterday was bad enough I went to Direct Care. Steroid injection, strong antibiotic and my favorite cough syrup, Hycodan. Fever slowly climbed to almost 102 until it broke at 10pm. Sinus infection day 6: Today was much worse. Woke up with a degree of fever. It was up and down all afternoon and then it spiked about 5pm and went to at least 103. Not quite sure where it stopped. Uncontrollable shakes and chills. Felt like the flu. I said all of that to say this: At about 5:15 when my wife started debating taking me to the ER, I boldly prayed, Jesus heal me. I said it over and over. In 5 minutes my fever broke and began coming down. All I can do is admit that I was pleasently surprised...delighted. At some point we must all grasp the mustard seed parable along with all of the others where Jesus says, ...ask for anything in my name... Praising God for small miracles.
