Sir Alex Ferguson is sitting next to Juventus boss Antonio Conte at the Europa League final. At one point, Conte’s name was linked with the vacant Manchester United job but with Louis van Gaal likely to be announced this week, that ship looks to have sailed. However, there are two midfielders who Fergie could have a quick word with Conte about – Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba, Vidal in particular. The Chilean is by far and away the best midfielder in the world in his position and if Manchester United are going to break the bank this summer, there would be no better player to splash out on.
