I contacted my Congressman Steve Israels local office inquiring about his position on the negotiation and release of 5 terrorists for Bergdahl. They were not aware of his position and suggested that I call the Washington DC office or check his website. I did both. The DC office also was not apprised of the congressmans views on this issue. After asking that I be contacted with his response to my inquiry they took my information. Im not holding my breath. I then went to Congressman Steve Israels website, you remember him, he recently said that many of the GOP is animated by racism. His last statement on the latest news was on May 28th where he is asking for a criminal investigation of VA situation. This is not surprising, its election year and he portrays himself as a moderate (far far from that) and uses Veterans to show how much he cares. ALL Congressional reps should help Veterans, its their job. Then I came across his twitter feed on his website.... Here is a copy of Congressman Steve Israels twitter feed. The only place I could find any mention regarding the Terrorist Negotiation. See the May 31st tweet. Nothing since then.
