Trying to collect my impressions from yesterdays signing but just - TopicsExpress

Trying to collect my impressions from yesterdays signing but just getting an headache of it, a very good one though, so better just put it down as it is :-) Christmas times tend to be a little stressful and so was this Saturday morning too. Late lucia coffee just before leaving home, a few more pictures to print, a little worried if the storm had done damage on the way....jumping into the car and realized it was a little slippery even on the big roads so had to put on a record and calm down since I dont want to end up in car crash statistics just before Christmas. Coffee brake on the way (yes, sometimes I am a coffee addict :-D ) and I realize I will just make it on the minute to Halmstad. A creative parking later, and a fast prayer for parking guards with a good Christmas mood I rushed down that windy walking street with hair like a brush behind me and tears in my eyes from the strong wind, no real christmas mood yet....but that would change within seconds...I kind of fell into the store and a nice lady (seemed to be miss or ms Larsson herself) helped me personally to find the boxes and books and get them paid asap. Had so much fun with that lady so I almost got run over by Per himself LOL Had missed out on his fast entrance and stood exactly where he was supposed to pas....wops... He looked shorter today....or was it just his hair that was shorter ;-) anyway he had a great black velour jacket on and looked so soft and sweet and all smiling. Took a few pictures and moved back the line (yes it was a very long line indeed). Standing there thinking about if I might be lucky getting those things signed at all today I started to enjoy the Christmas feeling that was so touchable in that store. There was mr Larsson in his pink pullover walking around with that spark in his eyes that only a happy shop owner can have when business is doing well surrounded by his loved once and lots of people enjoying his store, books and assortment, there was that little girl who was worried about if she was in the right queue and how to do and everybody was giving her good advices, there was that mother with her third generation Roxer in the trolley who wanted a book signed for her father, there was Åsa buying a big heap of books for the family and friends and there where the people working there handing out ginger cookies to keep the people in the queue nice and in a good mood (yes, Per got a few too :-D ) it was so nice, merry and so christmasy so it could have been taken from one of those movies showed on Christmas Eve. Even if a guy had chosen the wrong queue and after half an hour wondered why the fast lane is so slow today :-D there was nothing that could take away that cosy familiar feeling. Then it became my turn, I putted the big heap on the table and Per looked amused...eh..I had tagged most things but got brain dead there in front of him so tried to sort out whos box I had forgotten....standing there trying to get my brain working again the publisher guy asked if they should restrict the amount of signed things....ok my brain worked even worse....and Per was just cool and said I have all day so no worries! Wow! That guy knows how to take you down from the stress cloud, so I got my things sorted and left without my handbag (Karin where are you when I need you) and jacket and realized it later, Im happy Per is such a good watchdog :-P Stood there with that happy grin on my face enjoying that moment in the store when I realized I had given away my own PG Swedish book! So needed to do a new round....eh..did you have something more for me to sign yes and a lame excuse its for me and he seemed amused....chit-chatting he revealed the xxx booklet for the rest of the tour might be a little thicker but trying to learn why, he closed again, so seems I have a new item to get signed after next leg of the tour ;-) The signing was supposed to last one hour but nobody really wanted to leave so I over listened a conversation about plumbing by Åsa (seems to be one more real power woman there) and Per explaining he was in a Christmas party the day before (how can one look so smashing the day after?!) and many other wonderful small Christmas stories and got really filled of that Christmas magic, so on light feet I walked out on that walking street again and something had happened, the wind didnt feel too cold, the sun was shining, people was smiling and I was singing that crazy song I posted yesterday, and no the parking guards had not given me a ticket either. Thanks Per and everybody being on the signing yesterday you brought me my Christmas feeling! Lots of love and hugs to all, and a big bow for this amazing man who makes me so happy!
