Sir Alex was the best manager Ive seen but one of his mistakes was changing Rooneys playing style! He stopped him from doing his driving runs and from being a bit selfish! You need to be selfish at times as a forward! Ferguson tried to turn him into a Scholes sort of player, he slowed him down and told him to ping it out wide! I have criticised Rooney this World Cup but he did well for the last 20-25 mins as he was being more direct and confident! There were many to blame last night, especially the worst back 4 Ive seen in an England team. We always end up chasing games and burning so much energy doing it! Lets be more positive from the off, Gerrard and Henderson were sitting far too deep and there were no triangles in the middle, flat lines. Nothing to lose in the last game so Id like to see Lallana, Barkley and Sterling all starting, maybe go for a 4-3-3! All too late again, just another 4 years:-(!
