Sir Mix-A-Lot Will Join the Seattle Symphony for an Orchestral Version of Baby Got Back SIR MIX-A-LOT is teaming up with the Seattle Symphony for an ORCHESTRAL version of Baby Got Back. The performance is happening on June 6th. The composer who wrote the new version says, quote, [Sir Mix-a-Lot] is actually going to rap on-stage with [the] orchestra. Hes got this rap persona but in reality hes the softest, hes only interested in mixing. His most famous hit is Baby Got Back which starts, I like big butts . . . and so Im doing a new piece based on the rhythms of his raps. This is the latest in a series called Sonic Evolution, which has previously included orchestral music for other Seattle artists like Kurt Cobain, Alice in Chains and Jimi Hendrix.
