Sir Richard, You are, to many, a hero and an all round good guy. Through my rose tinted spectacles I see you as an animal lover, a nature lover, somebody who cares about the wonderful things of our natural world, a guy who must really love his dog. . . . but I dont even know if you have a dog ! The fact that so many people are trying desperately to engage you in this debate moves me to write to you. Please engage with WDC. I am an animal lover. Are you ? Cruelty to animals is the most dreadful abuse which, I can only presume, is carried out mostly for financial or other personal gain, or indeed through simply through ignorance. Wild creatures belong in the wild. My personal view is that it is only some humans, not animals which belong in captivity. Sir Richard, some day you and I will be people who lived long ago. I hope we both leave this world a better place for our having been in it. Im still working on that and Im sure you are too. Please help move this animal welfare issue forward.
