Sisters, have you heard about the new show that is about to debut on the Nickelodeon channel called the Haunted Hathaways? It is about a white women and her two daughters that move into a house that is haunted by...... a black man and his two sons! Hmmmmmm......Disney and Nickelodeon as well as other media channels and outlets are used quite often to push integration and encourage less black functional relationships and more interracial relationships. They do the same with white men/black women relationships. It is very rare to see a black family represented positively in the media. We must monitor what our children are exposed to! We cannot do that if we are not home! I watched the documentary "Dark Girls" a couple of weeks ago with my daughters and one of the things that disturbed me was the opinion that many of our young brothers have that "dark skin does not look right on females"! Please believe that the media plays a big role in that! Trashy music is included in that....
