Sitting alone in my house tonight and wrestling with so many emotions. This evening, I attended a memorial for a wonderful man whose sudden passing left a beautiful wife and three very young children behind. Tonight, I watched old friends embrace, new friendships form, and heard so many stories with laughter between tears. I didnt know Adrian that well, but he brought so many special people together that it was hard to not feel tied to him. Ill always remember him being happy and hilarious with a great infectious laugh and always the life of any party. At sundown we toasted to our friend while raising our glasses and facing the crashing waves of the Pacific, letting the water soak our feet. We cried, we hugged, we leaned on one another. It was a beautiful goodbye to a very loved man. Thank you for letting me share. Sometimes putting feelings into words and letting friends read them is the best way to not feel so alone on sad nights like tonight.
