Sitting at the doctors office and my relative asks another patient why is he seeing the doctor? The man says I have been coming for months for weight management. I asked him did he get an operation? No. I said, how are you managing your weight? I have type ll diabetes and I was really over weight but now the doctor has me on a calorie restriction plan and Im now doing better. I said do you know that clinically a whole foods low fat plant based diet without calorie restriction will help reverse type ll diabetes and reduce weight? Really? I realized that we dont have to hurt and kill animals to be super healthy. Animal products are not needed for good health. Many studies shown how they destroy health! Would you have animals killed if there was no need to kill them? No. Good, because we dont need to kill them for food and plants are better for you. We talked for about 15 minutes about veganism. I explained that veganism is not a diet but a social justice movement that rejects nonhuman animals being treated or used as a resource. Before we were finished I gave him a TAVS pamphlet and asked him to consider going vegan. I wrote Nutritionalfacts.org on the leaflet and said just go to the site and type in diabetes in the search option and you will learn how to help reverse type ll diabetes. I told him every vegan I have ever met says one thing...they wish they would have went vegan sooner.
