Sitting by the front picture window, looking at the Black-eyed - TopicsExpress

Sitting by the front picture window, looking at the Black-eyed Susans glowing in the sunlight, while Kelsey takes a shower and packs to leave us this afternoon. She stayed in a dorm her freshman year at Bama, but then decided to try apartment living for the rest of her college years. Moving her into the apartment was tough because Scott and I knew that she would never come back to live with us-it would only ever be a visit-a temporary visit. Saying goodbye to her is always painful and I believe theres only been one time when I didnt cry, and that was because she was coming back in 2-3 weeks or so. We probably wont see her again until Christmas because shell be super busy in her final year of graduate school not only taking classes, but teaching them as well. Ill be busy enough with my final year of nursing school, so my being super occupied will help soften the blow. But heres the thing...a friend of ours recently lost her son-in-law in an accident, another friend is fighting a terminal battle with cancer, and theres so much pain and suffering that it makes mine nominal in comparison. Today Ill be grateful that shes healthy, happy, is in school, has an amazing intellect, the greatest sense of humor, and is part of my life. Ill still cry mind you, but Ill be grateful.
